Volt is immediately hiring a Lab Research Engineer with a well-known industry leader in San Antonio.

This is a first shift position.

As a Lab Research Engineer you will:

• Implements new and existing test methods to perform physical, optical and mechanical analysis on films, adhesives, and non-woven materials as well as tape and dressing products
• Supports method developers by actively engaging in communication related to testing and results, equipment issues, and workload progress
• Determines sample properties and whether the performance is correct and accurate. Record and report those results back to the method developers and cross-functional teams as needed.
• Draft and release engineering related technical documents (i.e. Test Methods, Test Reports, Test Protocols, etc.)

Estimated Duration up to 24 months.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor's Degree in science or engineering preferred
• Experience with physical property testing of tapes, adhesives, biomechanics, and dressings
• Experience presenting scientific results verbally and visually
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
• Experience in technical documentation/writing
• Experience with using scientific instruments/equipment and familiarity with lab safety

Pay Rate: $26.71 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
