Our agency client has an immediate need for a REMOTE Production Artist! This FULLY REMOTE freelance assignment starts as soon as Monday (5/5), and will continue (30-40 hours per week) for at least six weeks with the intention to extend long-term.
The Production Artist must have their own laptop (Mac highly preferred) and Adobe Creative Suite.
The Production Artist is primarily responsible for translating various brand designs, and building organized production-ready mechanicals.
Production Artist Responsibilities:
- Produce print and digital pieces from supplied specs and dielines for final output while maintaining hierarchy, the integrity of the original creative concept, and layout
- Utilize a keen eye for detail, typography, layout, and image composition
- Work in a collaborative manner across various teams
- Collect files for final output
- Communicate with publications/vendors when necessary to receive correct specifications and delivery instructions
Production Artist Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience creating print, retail display, and packaging mechanicals
- Ability to work remotely using Google Workspace tools - Virtual meetings, group chat, cloud-based document collaboration apps
- MAC OS proficiency and strong experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat and InDesign)
- Strong understanding of processes and electronic file formats required to produce web content is a plus
