Reporting to the Director of Health and Well-Being, you’ll be responsible for contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of Wespath health benefits and well-being programs, by analyzing health and well-being data to drive decisions to improve the health and well-being of clergy and lay workers of the UMC and their families.
Responsibilities include:
- Analytics, Research, and Strategy - Lead, build, develop, and maintain data models, reporting systems, data automation, dashboards, and performance metrics that support key business decisions.
- Cross-Functional Projects – Lead or collaborate on cross-functional projects using data to drive strategic decisions.
- Employee Development – Provide training and supervision to staff working on health and well-being related analytics.
- Program Development, Management, and Consultation - Based on analytic insights, identify, research and recommend future programs to improve population health.
- Participant and Plan Sponsor Education - Provide presentations, trainings, and webinars on a variety of health and wellness related topics, including overall population health status and recommendations, health and wellness programs and their impact on population health, and various aspects of individual and population health.

- The compensation range for this position is $134,000 - $148,000 with a bonus opportunity and customary benefits. Final compensation will be based on the hired applicant’s qualifications (education, training and/or experience related to this role), and as such, may fall outside the range shown.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 7+ years experience in health and health plan analytics and delivery of population health strategies.
- Experience working with business intelligence and data visualization software, such as Power BI, Tableau, databases, or similar—using all relevant data to inform decisions
- Understanding of and experience using analytical concepts and statistical techniques: hypothesis development, designing tests/experiments, analyzing data, drawing conclusions, regression and correlation, and developing actionable recommendations for business units.
- Presentation experience to stakeholders including senior leadership and participants.
- Experience as strategy/consultation leader; ability to manage multiple, complex projects.
- Able to travel domestically 10-15% of the time.
Preferred Requirements/Qualifications:
- MPH, MBA, MS/MA in Health Analytics, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Behavior Change Science, or Health Administration or Public Health highly desirable; clinical or behavioral economics background a plus.
- Knowledge of faith-based organizations.
