About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Business Accountability Specialist who will be responsible for reducing risk and improving control effectiveness and policy compliance through a unified approach and will be an integral part of the Wholesale Workout team. You will perform assurance activities to validate systems and processes meet regulatory requirements and internal controls. The role will provide guidance to the business, helping them integrate risk and compliance into daily operations. The Senior Lead Business Accountability Specialist will guide risk management initiatives and issue management to strengthen our risk posture and ensure compliant operations throughout the organization. They will also provide risk reporting to senior leaders and relevant stakeholders, summarizing key risks and mitigation progress.
In this role, you will:
- Project manage Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) refresh activities. This includes ensuring the continued accuracy of risks, controls, control procedures and major control requirements.
- Provides oversight and monitoring of business group risk-based compliance and operational risk programs. Key programs you may execute on include SCRA, Fair Lending, Reg O, Reg W, Reg U, Complaints, Remediation, Redress, ADCON and Third Party.
- Oversee issue management for the business. This includes pre-vetting issues and assisting the business with developing and executing on appropriate corrective actions to ensure successful closure and validation of issues.
- Develop and refresh business procedures, job aids and control procedures that align with Enterprise policy and compliance requirements. Provide training to the business on compliance and operational risks topics as needed. Work closely with Corporate Risk Policy Liaisons to ensure impacts of policies to Workout are understood.
- Work with complex business units, rules, and regulations on moderate to high-risk compliance matters and projects as needed.
- Exam management responsibilities including interfacing with Audit, Legal, and risk partners on risk related topics.
- Develop, oversee, and provide independent credible challenge to standards with subject matter expertise.
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of risk management, business controls, quality assurance, business operations, compliance, or process experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
- 2+ years’ experience with Issue Management.

- Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities.
- Ability to deliver concise, time critical information to all levels of management, and business teams.
- Experience with RCSA or other risk management frameworks in the financial services industry.
- Experience with operational risk, audit, compliance, and/or controls in the financial services industry.
- Experience with commercial loan workout and/or commercial lending at a large financial institution.
- Self-starter, with a strong sense of initiative and a high-level attention to detail. Must be able to identify, assess the impact of, and correct or offer solutions to potential errors or problems.
- BA/BS degree or higher in accounting, finance, economics, etc…
- Ability to provide credible challenge and candor to peers.

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$144,400.00 - $300,000.00Benefits
