Legend Biotech is seeking a Sr. Scientist, Analytics in Vector Biology as part of the Research & Development team based in Piscataway, NJ.

Role Overview

Legend Biotech is looking for a Sr/Principal Scientist in analytical assay for lentiviral vector.

Key Responsibilities

• Lentiviral vector titration using flow and ddPCR.
• Characterization of LVV as drug product using all analytical tools
• Being a leader in analytical assay development and validation for LVV drug products
• Works independently in planning, performing, analyzing, reporting and presenting experimental data and future technology transfer
• Prepare all technical reports needed in support of an exploratory project moving to clinical development.
• Manage Research associates and/or Scientist under analytical development
• Interacts cross-functionally within Vector biology team and analytical organizations, as well as with other departments (regulatory, quality, manufacturing, clinical, supply chain).

Requirements

• MS degree with 5+ years; PhD with minimum 3+ years in biochemistry, virology, molecular biology, cell & gene therapy or related field.
• Experience in lentiviral vector titration and characterization
• Comfortable in a fast-paced biotech environment and able to adjust workload based upon priorities
• Strong knowledge & experience in lentiviral vector characterizations such as titer assay with flow/qPCR/ddPCR, p24 ELISA, and Western blot analyses.
• Ability to think strategically, balance short-term goals and maintain flexibility is preferred.
• Experience in in vivo LVV drug product is a plus.
• Experience in analytical method development, validation and qualification
• Great communication to enable seamless tech-transfers and strong advocate for collaboration
