Senior Cloud Database Engineer
The Role
The Wealth Management Core Wealth Platforms group supporting our Managed Accounts Domain within Fidelity's Wealth organization is seeking a Senior Cloud Database Engineer to aid in our migration to the Cloud. This role is critical in delivering Fidelity's promise of creating the best customer experience. Apart from cloud migration and associated cloud tools you will get exposure to our CI/CD deployment infrastructure, Agile development tools and procedures, relational (and non-relational) database technologies, and technology leadership opportunities.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
7+ years indeveloping and solutioningusing Oracle RDBMS development (PL/SQL)
3+ years of solutioning and coding experience with most of the following:
AWS Cloud environments (DMS, SNS, SQS, Lambda, Glue with Scala or Python, RDS like Oracle and PostgreSQL etc.)
Containerization and Orchestration technologies
Application web server technologies
5+ years of solutioning and development with ETL technologies
5+ years of data modelling on OLTP and data warehouse
5+ years of Data Warehouse and Reporting and Analytics platforms like Snowflake preferred
Strong understanding ofAPI development experience with large scale, highly available Enterprise class platforms
Knowledge of NoSQL databases like DynamoDB preferred
2+ years Java development experience preferred
2+ yearsof microservices architecture & development preferred
Strong experience developing in an Agile team setting (Kanban and/or SCRUM)
Experience working in a DevOps and CI/CD environment
AWS certification a strong plus
A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
Ability to think out of box and design end-to-end solutions
Passion and intellectually curious to learn new technologies and business areas
Ability to deal with ambiguity and work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent collaboration skills to work with multiple teams in the organization
The Team
We are responsible for providing the Data and Software Engineering technical expertise and leadership used by our Managed Accounts Recordkeeping delivery team within Managed Accounts product area. This role is critical in delivering Fidelity's promise of creating the best customer experience on our mobile and web-based applications.
