Our Venture Capital client is looking for a Sr Brand Designer with experience designing for technical Dev audiences to join their team at 30 - 40 hours/week for at least 2 - 4 months, with some potential to extending based on pipeline and fit!
Candidate must be able to work PST hours for team collaboration and timely feedback implementation
This Sr Brand Designer will be:
- Responsible for helping shape an updated visual identity for sector that targets Developer audiences
- Working with the Creative Director to ideate and conceptualize the rebrand, extend the new identity across various assets, and build a cohesive identity that resonates with the highly technical audience
- Partnering with the marketing team to ensure that the brand resonates across channels and assets, including digital, print, web, presentations, and event collateral
- Developing up to five initial brand mood boards and three detailed concept exploration
boards, ensuring all design assets reflect team's vision
- Extending the refresh across a full suite of assets, ensuring that all deliverables are consistent with the brand's minimalist and functional aesthetic. This includes: social media templates, presentations, event assets, new swag, web pages and more!
- Create a distinct identity for their Podcast that reflects the new brand refresh while standing on its own with a cohesive visual style tailored to its specific audience
- Update and document the full brand guidelines (via the firm's brand guidelines site), ensuring consistency and alignment across all assets
Experience/Skills:
- Minimum 6+ years with a strong foundation in branding and visual identity systems
- Advanced proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Figma
- Strong hands on experience designing for developer, engineer, or other technical audiences, with an understanding of minimalism and functional aesthetics
- Proven ability and portfolio examples of conceptualizing and building brands that resonate with technically-minded audiences, especially developers and engineers
- Portfolio demonstrating relevant experience in branding, particularly within the tech or developer space
- Long history of collaborating cross-functionally and with technical dev partners
- Any After Effects experience would be a major plus
