We are hiring for Quality Assurance Technician on our 3rd shift.

You will report to the QA supervisor and join a team of 235 plus team member.

You will work onsite at our Food manufacturing plant is in Kent WA.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform procedures on raw materials and finished products to determine if product meets specifications.
  • Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) assuring that hygiene standards are met and kept, by alerting leadership of non-compliance.
  • Maintain specifications and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) on production and processes.
  • Maintain rejection program by tracking and isolating effected product, reason for rejection, disposition of product and maintenance of these records.
  • Investigate cause of rejection and make recommendations based on findings to prevent future rejections.
  • Create, writing, updating, revising quality assurance programs, e.g., Frozen plant HACCP Program and Standard operating procedures.
  • Coach, train, and advise team members, both individually and in a group setting, on problem-solving processes relating to food production.
  • Maintain food processing forms based on specifications and Standard operating procedures.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement by using SPC tools to analyze product and process data.
  • Work varying hours and shifts, including overtime, to accommodate the production deadlines.
  • Meet internal and external customer expectations through teamwork, respect and willingness to help and support others.
  • React in critical situations.
  • SAP experience.
  • Flexible in working hours, able to work overtime on either before or after the shift and on weekends
  • 1 to 3 years Q.A. and /or production experience in a food manufacturing facility.
  • Working knowledge of microbiology, sanitation, food chemistry, HACCP, SPC, and other process improvement tools.
