Job Description Summary:
The Supply Planner/Master Planner is accountable to improve the product availability and inventory management of the US and America’s zone operations by developing constrained short term and long-term supply plans for the manufacturing facilities and co-packers. Master Planner will support monthly sales and operations planning (S&OP) by providing the supply and inventory plans in accordance with the Bel S&OP process, using integrated planning tools such as JDA and SAP IBP. This position reports to the Master Planning Manager.
Essential duties and responsibilities
- Perform supply planning, inventory management & rough capacity planning in support of the monthly S&OP process.
- Manage and update the relevant manufacturing macro-constraints and data (planning parameters) to develop and maintain short (rolling 12 months) and long-term supply plan (13 months to 36 months).
- Interface with the leaders in the Demand Planning, Customer Service, Plant Operations and Co-Packer teams to obtain the necessary information for supply planning process.
- Create and optimize weekly and monthly supply plans for finished goods to meet sales forecasts, customer orders and targeted inventory levels. Interface with plants schedulers to convert the rough-cut weekly plans to finite schedules considering equipment and people resource constraints (capacity Planning).
- Manage the overall inventory for finished goods. Develop improved inventory management processes and targets using JDA. Once implemented, follow-up on inventory exceptions on a daily basis.
- Schedule and oversee orders for imports of finished products manufactured outside of the US.
- Monitor performance and recommend action plans that ensure that production stability, inventory targets and customer service are achieved.
- Conducts supply plan simulations and prepare scenario analysis using JDA. Communicate opportunities, issues, and recommendations for resolution.
- Drive continuous improvements and track, perform root cause analysis and report on defined KPI’s (Schedule Adherence & Attainment), to improve customer service and increase efficiency.
- Participate in the annual budgeting process, particularly relating to annual production and import plans.
Qualifications and Competencies
Minimum degree and required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or related field and/or training
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in production planning, production scheduling and inventory planning, preferably in a CPG environment.
- APICS-CPIM highly desired
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and fostering teamwork.
- Process oriented, proven strong problem-solving skills and able to embrace and drive change.
Specific skills/competencies required:
- Experience in supply planning perishable products with short shelf-life
- Experience using advanced planning technology for planning and scheduling (KINAXIS, JDA, SAP or similar)
- Experience using databases and data mining tools (BW, BEX or similar)
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
- Proven time management and multiple task management capabilities.
- Strong analytical skills, process oriented and ability to develop actionable plans.
- Requires excellent oral, written, and communication skills.
- English required, Spanish and French a plus
- 5% Travel required

Working Conditions: Work is performed largely in an office environment, Hybrid 2-3 days per week. Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours with at least 40 hours a week. At times there will be some variation in work hours due to special projects, deadlines and other concerns. Occasional travel will be required.

Total Rewards:
Base Salary: $95,00 - $105,000
Bonus Potential: 12%
