Job Description:
To conceive visual design solutions to complex product initiatives through composition, typography and interaction models, keep deliverables engaging and on-brand, and drive cross channel projects. Develops project execution plan, deployment schedule, and implements UX design projects of a moderate to complex scope. Resolves complex design problems. Works independently with limited guidance on moderately complex projects with significant impact.
- Develop and recommend comprehensive visual design solutions
- Conceive and recommend visual experience design strategy
- Optimize the user experience through creating visual on-brand compositions that drive improved experiences - Considerable Latitude
- Influence team members and business partners, explaining the impact of designing/developing with the end user in mind - Considerable Latitude
- Collaborate with project teams to define the visual identity
- Defines user experience goals through visual engagement
- Operate within the right Design Thinking methodology based on the product, channel, audience, and the application requirements or workflow-Considerable Impact
- Create and apply visual design styles and best practices, such as composition, color theory, accessibility and typography, and guides the team in their use through style guide creation -Complex/Difficult
- Create prototypes for testing to ensure design meets business and user objectives-Complex/Difficult
- Act as subject matter expert for design inspiration
- Recommend user experience improvement opportunities -Considerable Latitude
- Ensures design solutions remain engaging to the customer - Considerable Impact
- Act as stakeholder in user acceptance testing to verify the final execution of a product in the development stage
- Manage multiple projects under tight deadlines across a broad variety of product categories and audiences
- Proactively draw out user experience or design issues and successfully address those issues to ensure projects stay on track to meet interim project milestones
- Must have requirements:
- Experience with agile, and user centered design a must
- Hybrid work arrangement so candidates who can make the drive to campus 4 days a month will be expected. There is no set day or time, they make their own schedule
- Resumes should have portfolio or work samples included
- A MINIMUM of 3 real world examples of DIRECTwork - Wireframes, Prototypes, Flows, User stories. NOT projects from general assembly or similar programs.
