Full Job Description
Our client, a growing non profit in the health equity space, is looking for a Virtual Events Manager to join their team on an open ended basis starting by the end of September.
Please note, the client has 6-7 virtual events per year. Hours will ramp up leading up to events and will die down in between events. Hours worked for each event are expected to be about 10 - 15 hours in total.
As the Virtual Events Manager, you will be organizing roundtable style events that will be held in Zoom Webinar rooms. The Virtual Events Manager will work primarily with the Social Media Manager and the Founders of the company to plan each event.
The Virtual Events Manager will be responsible for:
- ensuring that panelists for each event have all the necessary materials and coordinating meetings to review the information prior to the event day (scripts, questions, etc.)
- creating eventbrite pages for each event for participants to register beforehand
- working with the Social Media Manager to strategize promotional campaigns leading up to the event and help to make digital assets for promotion in Canva
- launching the Webinar meeting day of ensuring that participants are "let in" and everything is running correctly
- posting poll questions during the event and gathering the results of each question to put together in a report
REQUIREMENTS:
- minimum 2 years of virtual events management experience
- proficient in Zoom Webinar meetings, Eventbrite, PowerPoint, and Canva
- highly organized with great attention to detail
- a creative thinker who can bring new ideas to the table for events
