Location Shelton, ConnecticutUS Job ID REQ-053630PerkinElmer is looking for a Vice President of Marketing & Product Management who will play a critical leadership role, driving the strategic vision and execution of business strategy, marketing execution (digital & traditional) and overall product & marketing initiative alignment. This position requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscapes in addition to strategic planning, execution & best-in-class product launch & lifecycle processes. The VP of Marketing & Product Management will work closely with cross-functional business teams to ensure the successful launch and sustained growth of our product portfolio in addition to supporting the entire PerkinElmer business from a Digital standpoint.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive product marketing strategy aligned with the company's overall business goals.
- Lead market analysis, customer segmentation, and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and threats.
- Define and communicate the product value proposition, positioning, and messaging.
Product Launch and Lifecycle Management:
- Oversee the planning and execution of product launches (including new product project priorities), ensuring alignment with marketing, sales, and product development teams.
- Manage the product lifecycle, from ideation and development to launch and post-launch activities.
- Drive go-to-market strategies and ensure timely delivery of marketing assets and collateral.
- Ensure close execution and collaboration between product and marketing teams both for new product introductions in addition to the annual planning & marketing execution process.
Marketing Plan Execution
- Oversee digital marketing strategies including SEO, SEM, marketing campaigns, and content marketing.
- Develop & leverage digital tools and platforms to enhance marketing efforts including eCommerce, EDI, punch-outs, and overall continue our Digital journey to reap maximum return from marketing investments and assets,.
- Oversee the planning and execution of product launches (including new product project priorities), ensuring alignment with marketing, sales, and product development teams.
- Collaborate with the Corporate brand, communications, and social media team to ensure the delivery to timely content for business initiatives.
- Own & lead all external agency engagement & interaction.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing global product management & marketing team (>60 associates and a major growth focus area).
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, promoting professional growth and development.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with product management, sales, brand and communications, and customer success teams to align on product goals and strategies.
- As leader of marketing and product management teams serveas a key liaison between the product management & marketing team and other departments to ensure cohesive and integrated marketing efforts.
- Advocate for customer needs and insights within the organization.
Performance Measurement and Reporting:
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of product management & marketing initiatives.
- Provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership on product performance, market trends, and competitive landscape.
- Utilize data-driven insights to optimize marketing strategies and drive continuous improvement.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in Product Marketing, preferably within a scientific industry.
- Product Management experience including BU leadership or prior GM exposure.
- Proven track record of success in leadership roles.
- Hybrid remote role in Shelton, CT (preferred) or Boston, MA.

The annualcompensation range for this full-time position is $200,000to $300,000. The final base pay offered to the successful candidate will be determined by factors including internal equity, work location, as well as individual qualifications, such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
