$10,000 Commitment Bonus Eligible | Paid out in 4 equal installments over 24 months in 6-month increments.

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking aVascularSonographer in our Arringdon Cardiology located in Morrisville, NC to be an integral member of the healthcare team to provide direct and indirect care to patients.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrates proficiency by performing routine vascular ultrasound examinations, as requested by physician and in accordance with standard practices.
  • Ability to thoroughly, and efficiently, evaluate pathology following current guidelines (Society for Vascular Ultrasound (SVU), Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (SDMS), etc.).
  • Analyze patient's medical record to obtain history of symptoms and necessary information for performance of diagnostic procedures.
  • Assist in the reaccreditation process and quality improvement program for the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC-Vascular).
  • Communicates technical and patient care related information according to established processes and timelines
  • Respond to patient questions about procedures and equipment prior to starting the imaging process.
  • Operate equipment necessary to perform all required procedures and to obtain optimal diagnostic recording; utilize ancillary devices such as selected transducers, digital networking system, off-line analysis systems as indicated.
  • Attends required staff meetings and ensures ensuring continuing education requirements met to support professional growth and certification.
  • Rotates to clinical sites as needed.

JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP)or Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC); or equivalent combination of training and/or experience (may substitute with ARDMS certification on or before December 31, 2000).
  • Current compliance with Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements for specialty (ies) as appropriate.
  • Level I RDMS registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or registry eligible and become registered within twelve (12) months of employment & Must obtain ARDMS certifications in Abdomen, OB/GYN, or Vascular as required by each entity within 18 months of employment.
  • Level II Minimum of two years' experience as a Sonographer.
  • BLS certification

JOB HOURS:

The schedule for this position is day shifts, Monday-Friday, with no weekends or holidays.
