The Utility Technician will be responsible for providing input to the Supervisor Facilities when discussing departmental decisions concerning maintenance and repair of utility and process equipment. The typical work hours for this position are a standard workday and 40-hour work week, with shift work being a possibility depending on manufacturing demand. There is also an on-call rotation consisting of 24/7 support for alarm monitoring and emergency services. Some travel may be required.

Performs maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on building utility systems.
Performs maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on some production equipment.
Must work effectively with outside contractors.
Works on assignments where independent action and a high degree of initiative are required in resolving problems and developing recommendations.
Works and participates effectively in a team environment, within the department, with other departments, and with outside contractors.
As required, will serve as the on-call technician 24 hours a day for emergency situations that may arise.
Requires supervision of outside contractors performing facility and equipment related services.
Requires technician level operation of the computerized maintenance system data base
Other duties as assigned.
Re-enforce EHS rules and policies within work area
Elevate any identified EHS risks, for which assistance is needed in order to mitigate, through tiered accountability

Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
High School Diploma or Equivalent, Trade School Certifications Desired
1+ years' experience with a biopharmaceutical company.
Preferred Qualifications:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
Trade certification/license in millwright, instrumentation or electrical
3 or more years’ experience in pharmaceutical environment
Stationary Engineers License State of Maryland (Preferred)
Must have a valid driver's license
Must be able to lift 40lbs
Must be able to operate heavy machinery (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.)
Ability to read and operate operator interface terminals
