Global Learning & Development Training Coordinator (Temporary)
(Learning Specialist 1)

Lam’s Global Learning & Development Training Coordinator is responsible for providing support to the learning & development program manager team. Your responsibility will be to help accomplish everything required behind the scenes to make training possible for our employees. This position reports to the Sr. Manager of Learning & Development.

Job Responsibilities
  • Coordinating the execution of instructor-led training sessions:
    • Communicating with trainers and trainees regarding session logistics and requirements.
    • Tracking class enrollments on a weekly basis and marketing classes to the targeted audience if enrollments are low.
    • Managing training materials, including being on-site to receive and distribute materials on the day of the sessions.
    • Inventory materials.
    • Provide logistic support to trainers and trainees before and during ILT sessions.
      • Order catering and be the liaison with catering services.
      • Order supplies.
      • Reserve training rooms in Outlook.
      • Coordinate and work with IT experts to ensure equipment in ILT session is working properly.
      • Greet the trainer (vendor) on the day of the ILT session and escort them to the training room.
      • Serve as the liaison between trainer and program manager as needed.
      • Support the entire ILT session to ensure all goes smoothly, including catering is accurate and arrives on time, IT equipment continues to work, attendance sheet, the room is set up correctly, etc.
    • Updating training documentation and resources as needed.
  • Partner with program managers and vendors and regions to ensure smooth coordination of global logistics.
  • Compile survey data.
  • Assist in coordinating global class planning.
  • Act as the producer for internal online virtual training.


Minimum Qualifications
  • High energy and a positive mindset that is contagious.
  • Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with others.
  • Ability to respond quickly to changes and urgent requests.
  • Proficient knowledge of Windows-based business computers and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Experience with Outlook to book rooms and send invitations and communications.
  • Able to flex to business needs and adjust plans as needed.
  • Ability to work onsite in Tualatin, OR (when required).
  • Some instructional design skills using Storyline, but not required.

Success in this role requires being action-oriented and customer-focused, with the ability to adjust to changing priorities and the ability to work independently while maintaining a high degree of accountability and accuracy of work.

Additional skills and experience beneficial for this role include experience in manufacturing and with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Learning Management Systems programs such as Cornerstone on-demand and Articulate Storyline 360.
