Locations: New Mexico and Arizona (ideally would like candidates in these states)
PAY RATE: $36.43/hr.
**Brand New 7 Year Contract** | PAID HOLIDAYS | PTO PLAN | Reimbursement on all travel, food, & lodging
MUST HAVES:
- Authorized to work in the US | High School & 3+ Years of Experience
- Experience with cabling, splicing, and telecom experience
- ISP and OSP experience
- Pull cable or fiber optic cable by hand to string lines between existing appliances, auxiliary equipment and/or terminal boxes as assigned on a new project basis.
- Running routine tests on telecommunications systems to ensure that all components are functioning at optimal levels.
- Performing diagnostic testing on problematic telecommunications systems to identify and resolve various technical faults.
- Checking all wiring work done to ensure that there are no exposed cables.
- Work cooperatively with other employees, government agencies and other industry partners.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a telecommunications technician.
- Sound knowledge of telecommunications systems.
- Ability to work in various physical conditions such as heights and confined spaces.
- Perform physical work personally.
- A detail-oriented disposition.
Public Trust Clearance Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to understand and follow standard operating policies and procedures.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and specifications.
- Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
- Effective oral and written communication skills required for the position.
- Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player.
- Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others.
- Strong persuasive and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to identify and meet customer’s needs, expectations, and requirements.
- Demonstrates expertise in commercial low voltage systems installation and field management.
- Must be a self-starter and a problem solver.
- Must possess the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of specific variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
