The Role

This role involves a high level of partnership and collaboration within a matrixed environment, with key partnerships across Business Units, Distribution and Technology teams. You will apply your strong software development and test automation skills to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve Fidelity investments software solutions. You will also be supporting your team in adopting best practices to ensure we are building the right product and we are building it right. Overall, you will have an appetite for learning, evaluating, and recommending new technologies. Software Engineers at Fidelity Investments pride themselves on their experience, leadership, and ability to establish relationships across teams.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
* 5+ years experience with a Bachelor's in Computer Science (or closely related field)
* Top skills needed: Front end UI, Playwright, Xray, chaos, Splunk, Datadog, node.js, Jenkins core
* Experience in Angular, JavaScript, SQL
* Experience in test automation (Playwright, Cypress, Rest Assured, Test NG, Maven)
* Experience with DevOps/Pipelines (Jenkins Core, LWC, Monorepo, etc.)
* Experience with source control (GitHub, Stash (Bitbucket), Sourcetree)
* Cloud experience preferred - Amazon Web Services (AWS)
* Focus on the deployment automation and orchestration
* Assist with code branches, merges, builds pipelines, manage versioning etc.
* Use your knowledge of testing and testability to influence better software design, promote proper software engineering and bug prevention strategies, testability and security
* Actively participate in the development process through writing and maintain application features and automated tests including unit tests, component tests, integration tests, functional tests, performance tests, scenario tests and interoperability tests
* Collaborate with team members on improving team's test coverage, release velocity and production health

Your work will support an exciting modernization of the Associate Integrated Desktop Experience, a platform used by thousands of Fidelity associates as they service our customers. You will help revolutionize the platform using the latest full-stack technologies and deploy new types and combinations of UI components on it, including some that are AI driven - all of which will help increase productivity and associate satisfaction.
