Job Description:
Supply Chain Specialist
- Location: San Antonio, TX (4 days on-site, 1 day remote)
- Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
- Duration: 3-6+ months (potential to convert/extend)
Responsibilities:
- Receive and review purchase requisitions for materials and services for completeness and proper level of approval.
- Purchase materials, equipment, and incidental services for assigned areas in best interests of company.
- Identifies and resolves purchase order and invoice discrepancies working in collaboration with AP, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure timely goods receipt and payment.
- Expedite purchase commitments to ensure on timely delivery and acceptable performance by suppliers, to meet the needs of business partners.
- Ensures the proper use of tools and systems provided to monitor, verify, and implement Supply Chain Controls.
- Utilize practices such as RFQs, bid analysis, negotiations and partnering to ensure maximum value for expenditures.
- Proficient in commercial analysis techniques and process improvements to support Supply Chain initiatives and maintain value laden supply relationships.
- Works with other Supply Chain and legal professionals to ensure that contractual terms and conditions are acceptable, and serve to minimize risk during the purchasing process.
- Maintain awareness of current market conditions, new products, supply sources for assigned commodities, new technologies, assigned business units and methods that enhance value of purchasing process.
- Perform moderately complex price analysis based on few variables and confers with suppliers to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.
- Participate/lead special projects or initiatives, as identified by SC Supervisor.

- Continuous Learning/Improvement - Seeks growth in knowledge of applicable commercial skills/tools, process optimization, and alignment with business units.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelors degree required (Supply Chain Management, Business, or Accounting preferred)
- SAP, Ariba, Microsoft Office products is required.
- 2 or more years of relevant experience is preferred.
