Senior Technical Advisor, Anti-Money Laundering (AML)

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Advisor to join our Anti-Money Laundering (AML) team. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in APIs, security, and end-to-end data flow, and will provide strategic guidance to our Enterprise Risk technology team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Advisory: Provide expert advice on AML technology solutions, focusing on API integration, security protocols, and end-to-end data flow.
• Risk Assessment: Collaborate with the Enterprise Risk technology team to assess and mitigate risks associated with AML processes and systems.
• API Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and management of APIs to ensure secure and efficient data exchange between systems
• Security Protocols: Develop and enforce security measures to protect sensitive financial data and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
• Data Flow Optimization: Analyze and optimize end-to-end data flow processes to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of AML operations
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, compliance, and risk management, to ensure seamless integration and operation of AML technologies.
• Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze system performance metrics, making data-driven decisions to improve AML technology solutions.
• Leadership: Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in AML, cybersecurity, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a technical advisory role.
• Skills: Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills; excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of API management, security protocols, and end-to-end data flow in the financial industry
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or similar are highly desirable.
