Our Digital Manufacturing Operations Team supporting our vibrant West Point site is seeking a Senior Specialist in Process Automation to join their Team. Our engineers continuously improve and innovate to support and ensure our manufacturing facilities remain operational. With our extensive range of facilities and environments, our Engineers have opportunities across many diverse areas including Biological, Chemical, Automation, Capital Projects, Maintenance, Safety, Process Development, Technical Services, Utilities, and Validation.

The role will be a subject matter expert and support other automation engineers in the following technologies: Distributed Control Systems (Delta V), Programmable Logic Controllers (Allen Bradley), Windows operating systems, network infrastructure

• Comply with Global Policies, Procedures and Guidelines, regulatory requirements and execute current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) in the performance of day-to-day activities and all applicable job functions.

• Perform system administrative tasks involving system upgrade and system setup.

• Monitor and manage our system performances, identify trends and determine potential issues.

• Develop solutions for operating systems, network and/or interface between different systems.

• Participate and contribute to investigations of automation anomalies to prevent a recurrence.

• Act as the liaison to the above site Product and Process groups to bring the global initiatives to site level.

• Provide technical expertise and solution to other automation engineers in troubleshooting.

Education Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelors in Engineering

Required

• 7+ years in process automation, IT/OT or equivalent.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interface effectively with all levels of colleagues in a team environment, and with external parties.

Preferred

• Experience in pharmaceutical/ biotechnology industry.

• Technical expertise as a system administrator in Emerson DeltaV.

• Technical expertise in network protocol and IT

• Experience and knowledge in various communication protocols, OPC, BUS technology, VIM
