How you’ll shape the future of the Utilities Department:
- Provide leadership for approximately 15-20 employees in the Recovery department.
- Assure safety of mill personnel and security of mill assets
- Manage performance of assigned personnel including training, coaching, feedback and progressive discipline.
- Schedule and conduct shift communication meetings.
- Create shift schedules to include work assignments, vacations, overtime assignments, vacancy back up for absences, and shift rotations.
- Manage appropriate staffing levels and monitor resource utilization,
- Investigate incidents, accidents, near misses and ensure proper emergency response, if needed.
- Approve time worked of all personnel assigned.
You’ll be someone who can bring:
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 2-5 years’ experience OR 5+ years in utilities, power plant operations.
- Demonstrated leadership including lead person or supervisor back up experience.
- Experience in pulp and paper systems operations preferred.
- Computer knowledge; MS Office 365, email, teams, etc.
