How you’ll shape the future of the Utilities Department:

  • Provide leadership for approximately 15-20 employees in the Recovery department.
  • Assure safety of mill personnel and security of mill assets
  • Manage performance of assigned personnel including training, coaching, feedback and progressive discipline.
  • Schedule and conduct shift communication meetings.
  • Create shift schedules to include work assignments, vacations, overtime assignments, vacancy back up for absences, and shift rotations.
  • Manage appropriate staffing levels and monitor resource utilization,
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, near misses and ensure proper emergency response, if needed.
  • Approve time worked of all personnel assigned.

You’ll be someone who can bring:

  • Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 2-5 years’ experience OR 5+ years in utilities, power plant operations.
  • Demonstrated leadership including lead person or supervisor back up experience.
  • Experience in pulp and paper systems operations preferred.
  • Computer knowledge; MS Office 365, email, teams, etc.
