Overview

As a member of the People Programs Maximize and Maintain team, you play a pivotal role in shaping people strategies and initiatives and driving partnerships, solutions, and process improvements to ensure we deliver the right people programs in the moments that matter most in the employee experience: when they join, develop, perform, and exit. Reporting to the Director of People Programs Maximize & Maintain, you will oversee the day-to-day management of individual talent programs, deliver and maximize post-implementation program experiences, and drive solutions across the employee ecosystem to ensure continued relevance and adoption of the programs by employees and business partners. Your role creates intuitive value by focusing on the needs of the employees, applying strategic, analytical, and innovative thinking skills to drive continuous improvement in our programs and infrastructure, and positively impacting the users of the people programs and the business.

Planning and Navigating Requirements

  • Maximize and maintain Talent Management and people-centric programs and processes to achieve strategic business initiatives
  • Leverage deep business understanding to identify issues, diagnose root causes, provide insights, offer recommendations, and develop proactive solutions to solve pressing business objectives and make data-driven decisions through a people lens
  • Collaborates with HRBPs, HR COEs, Employee Relations, Legal and business leaders to help facilitate organizational changes and respond to employee feedback on people programs and processes.
  • Embed principles of REDI (Racial Equity, Diversity and Inclusion) into program delivery and optimizations
  • Create and execute stakeholder engagement plans to bring the right people together focused on the right work at the right time for optimal business solutions
  • Consult on the planning and execution of program design and development, ensuring alignment with overall pillar strategy
  • Measure program efficacy through KPIs and metrics, deliver product health reports, and conduct program excellence audits to identify and mitigate risks across the portfolio
  • Support streamlined user experiences by maintaining value, relevance, and excellence of programs and processes across the employee ecosystem, including identifying and operationalizing opportunities for improvement
  • Effectively manage programs within the entire employee ecosystem to drive program knowledge, integration, relevance, discoverability, and drive solutions with XFN partners to deliver interconnected people-centric solutions
  • Create mechanisms for process improvement (including automation) to ensure standardization, ease of use, and governance.
  • Apply strong analytical skills and attention to detail to understand complex problems and root causes, leveraging quantitative and qualitative data, investigatory probing, and a systems-thinking approach to develop insights, guide decisions, and formulate solutions across the employee ecosystem.
  • Evaluate people programming solutions based on the balanced mix of desirable solutions that are feasible, and viable to the business.
  • Understands the co-op’s business and the marketplace to ensure connection of people programs to business outcomes.
  • Thinks creatively by looking outside of the HR division to learn leading people practices both within the co-op and other organizations.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

People-centric approaches: Ability to understand target audiences and deliver value through people-centric strategies and product delivery. 

Strategic thinking: Ability to develop and articulate a clear vision and strategy for the People Programs pillars(s).  

Systems thinking: Ability to understand and consider the interconnectedness of the employee ecosystem and the systems, tools, and processes that support that ecosystem. 

Continuous improvement: Identifies solutions and improvements through innovative, forward-thinking approaches focused on delivering meaningful, accessible, and personalized experiences at scale, staying abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends.  

Program Management: Able to manage multiple programs simultaneously, ensuring they align with the overall strategy, while delivering program efficacy, and leveraging project management methodologies and tools as needed for program updates, and influencing stakeholders across the program ecosystem.  

Collaboration & Stakeholder engagement: Ability to build strong working relationships and work collaboratively across all levels of the organization, including remote areas and in field environments, to drive stakeholder alignment.  

Communications: Able to deliver best-in-class communications to drive people-centric outcomes, articulates strategy and individual program benefits to a diverse set of target audiences, including executive leaders, and drive key success metrics. 

Data Analysis and Measurement: Must have strong analytical skills to evaluate program performance, generate actionable insights, and enable informed decision making.  Able to leverage quantitative and qualitative data to produce program health reports.  

Problem solving and decision making: Ability to identify potential risks and challenges and develops effective solutions with input from stakeholders as needed, driving effective decision making that balances short term needs with long term strategic goals.   

Process & optimization: Able to identify short- and long-term systems and processes to support program delivery with efficiency and quality, while maintaining people-centric approach.   

Compliance & Governance: Establishes and maintains governance structures for program oversight and delivery, and program integration into the wider ecosystem. 

Preferred experience: Experience developing and managing programs across the employee lifecycle. Demonstrated knowledge or experience of core Talent Management programs including performance management, talent planning, succession, career development, and learning and development.
