The Senior Manageris in charge ofrunning an open-source project for embedded systems such as customer premises equipment. Lead multiple diversely located teams and build newteams where needed. Architect end of end solutions taking into consideration the the diverse requirements from various stakeholders.
Job Functions:
- Creates and drives strategies in alignment with the Company's overall vision and business goals.
- Works with project personnel to define standards and frameworks with regards to coding, programming and the general development of applications for multiple platforms.
- Leads the Software Development and Engineering team in the development of new software and applications and leads the continued support for existing applications and applications in development. Oversees implementation initiatives, software updates and the roll-out of new software releases.
- Monitors the project lifecycle from intake through delivery. Ensures the entire solution design is complete and consistent from the start and seeks to remove as much re-work as possible.
- Works with Supervisors and Managers to ensure all deliverables adhere to deadlines, specifications and budgets. Develops and implements performance metrics. Reviews and reports on project progress to leadership team.
- Prepares and manages budget(s) and financial targets.
- Continuously researches new techniques with respect to coding technology and coding practices. Works with the Engineering team to implement new techniques that benefit the goals of the organization.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Lead overall delivery of RDK Core Middleware and Reference Platforms
- Coordinate and collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders including other internal teams, other operators, chip vendors, manufacturers, and system integrators to effectively elicit collaboration and drive strategic convergence
- Build and drive consensus across teams and stakeholders by abstracting key problems and proposing solution options.
- Skillfully and assertively navigate diverse third-party team priorities and strategically leverage them to achieve common objectives
- Run monthly governance sessions with Business and Engineering leadership of various groups to callout key achievements and learnings pointing out risks and dependencies
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary

Required Skills:
- 15+ Years of industry experience
- C / C++ / Core Java / J2EE
- Shell scripting in Linux
- RDK (Reference Design Kit) for Video
- Experience managing teams and deliverables
Education / Experience Requirements:
Typically requires aBachelor'sdegree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Typically requires 10+ years of industry experience with Software Development
