Senior Design Systems Designer

Position Overview
We are seeking a talented Senior Design Systems Designer to lead the development and implementation of our design systems. This role is critical in ensuring consistency across our products while enhancing user experience and design efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in UI/UX design and a passion for creating cohesive design systems. This is a hybrid freelance to full time opportunity. Must be willing to work onsite in Downtown, LA Tuesday - Thursday to be considered!

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable design systems that enhance user experience across multiple platforms.
• Collaborate with product teams to understand their needs and translate them into effective design solutions.
• Create and maintain design documentation, including style guides and component libraries, to ensure design consistency.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback and improve design systems.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers in best practices for design systems and UI/UX design.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in UI/UX design, with a focus on design systems.
• Proficiency in Figma and other design tools.
• Strong understanding of design principles and user-centered design methodologies.
• Experience in creating and maintaining design documentation and component libraries.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
