United Way Miami, Inc. is hiring a Senior Coordinator, MU to join our team. As Senior Coordinator, MU you will

provide coordination of services and administrative support to Mission United (MU).

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide telephone support for the MU program that includes but is not limited to answering incoming calls; gathering details of veteran needs to determine proper services; referring veterans to the MU team for in-depth intake/enrollment and other community resources; and following up as needed.
  • Provide administrative support and follow-up for Mission United that includes but is not limited to setting up appointments; booking travel; composing/drafting letters; data entry; filing; word-processing; proofreading; and managing internal and external correspondence; and mailings.
  • Schedule and coordinate internal and external meetings and event registrations, including coordinating with key organizations and community partners. Ensure the veteran service organization (VSO) directory is maintained and kept up to date. Assist other staff with projects.
  • Participate in outreach events that promote the messaging of Mission United; assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly statistical reports on client contacts, connection platform enrollments and usage; and client satisfaction surveys. Maintain an empathetic, non-judgmental attitude; and ensure that the highest degree of professionalism and customer service is met.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Manager of Program Operations.
Requirements:

Education Requirements: Associate degree or equivalent experience.


Experience Requirements: One to three years of experience in an office environment providing administrative assistance. Veteran preferred but not necessary.

Technology Requirements: Advanced Outlook, intermediate Microsoft Office suite, and Andar/SalesForce. Knowledge of modern web browsers.


Other Essential Knowledge/Skills: Must be detail-oriented and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Strong customer service skills are required. Ability to function in a team environment. The Spanish language is not a requirement but helpful.
