The Senior Business Manager, Mental Health Parity partners with executive leadership to manage the development and execution of strategic planning and initiatives for the division. This role applies business expertise, systems thinking, analytical capability and program/project management, to anticipate and plan for long-term needs and trends. This role engages and consults with all levels of the division and Premera, to develop and deliver on new business strategies, projects and programs, providing regular updates to senior leaders on progress. Guides and mentors others to ensure business efficiency and effectiveness, and is recognized across the company as the division’s lead in driving functional and/or technical strategy.

What you will bring:

  • Consult and work with executive management to identify key business issues, outline strategic alternatives, and recommend effective solutions.
  • Manage division planning process and performs independent analyses for a broad array of complex issues across disciplines and functional areas. Identifies and recommends suggested action steps based on analytic results, makes recommendations to senior management.
  • Manage execution of division strategic plan deliverables, including development of department-level goals, objectives and roadmaps.
  • Lead the integration of large enterprise projects and programs by development of project team objectives, implementation of team, managing risk and ensuring key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and outcomes. Provide status updates, ad-hoc strategic and planning discussions, and post project assessment.
  • Work closely with leadership/and team associates to design, implement, and operate new programs and/or enhancements.
  • Demonstrate a breadth of knowledge across all lines of Premera’s business and provides subject matter expertise in division programs, business processes across the company.
  • With leadership partners, establishe governance structures, cost-benefit analysis, ROI, and performance metrics.
  • Lead and motivate teams and maintains high quality cross-group relationships.
  • In partnership with Corporate Communications, establishe proper organizational communication strategy and, as needed, provides proactive project communications.
  • Increase team performance and inter-departmental collaboration.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Healthcare Administration or related field of study or four (4) years' work experience (Required).
  • Eight (8) years of experience in developing, implementing, training and supporting new or existing strategic programs and processes. Which includes: Eight (8) years of experience in program, project, and change management or a combination of the three (Required).
  • Experience in reading and understanding regulations and working with regulators.
  • Knowledge of Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act and its implementing regulations.
  • Experience in audits, specifically regulatory audits.
  • Experience in professional services consulting.
  • Master's degree in Business.

The pay for this role will vary based on a range of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographic location, market conditions, and specific skills and experience.

The salary range for this role is posted below; we generally target up to and around the midpoint of the range.

National Plus Salary Range:

$119,900.00 - $203,800.00

*National Plus salary range is used in higher cost of labor markets including Western Washington and Alaska.
