Full Job Description
Summary
Assists with the planning, development, and administration of Security procedures and programs. Performs job duties in compliance with applicable National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA)/Department of Energy (DOE) Directives and other applicable National Policies. Interacts professionally with Federal customers, visitors, management, and peers.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists with the preparation and implementation of security policies and procedures, and coordinates with appropriate personnel regarding incidents involving security issues.
- Coordinates access controls to allow authorized personnel or visitor access to restricted records, materials, or areas.
- Assists with planning and development of security awareness training and education for security operations.
- Recommends and/or coordinates with other Security personnel on the implementation of policies and procedures in support of management objectives.
- Develops and facilitates internal communications which may include processing and distribution of information through communications services.
- May perform other duties as required.
- Conducts activities in a safe and healthy manner and works in accordance with established HS&E requirements to ensure the protection of employees, the public, and the environment. Takes actions necessary to "stop" work when an unsafe condition or action is identified. Every employee has the right and responsibility to stop work when unsafe conditions or actions are identified.
You Must Have
- 1 or more years experience in law enforcement activities, security operations, or equivalent appropriate experience
We Value
- Practical knowledge of manufacturing or industrial practices and operations.
- Bachelors degree in a business related field or two additional years of direct work experience in lieu of a Bachelors degree.
- Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of computer applications preferred.
