Daytona International Speedway is seeking a motivated team player to play an integral role on its Ticket Operations team. This individual will report to the Manager of Ticket Office Operations and will be part of the Ticket Office Representatives and seasonal staff, while serving as a liaison to the NASCAR Sales Center and NASCAR Sales Academy. This position will assist with escalated customer service issues, while also focusing on servicing and selling DIS daily tours. The Ticket Office Representative is responsible for ensuring the ticket staff delivers the highest level of customer service possible.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with the sales and service of daily track tours.
- Practice selling techniques through superior customer service, focusing on the customers' needs and educating.
- Continuous communication with leaders and departments to ensure up-to-date knowledge for event, promotions, sales techniques and utilization of operational materials for a seamless and entertaining customer experience.
- Create, sell, and process a DAYTONA EXPERIENCE via ticket software.
- Work with office equipment including but not limited to computers, calculators, copier, phones and/or other office machines.
- Assist with offsite ticket sales and promotions.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong, effective and professional communication skills
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Previous cash and credit card handling skills
- Must possess a positive attitude
- Understanding of facility and general race knowledge helpful
- Flexible schedule, able to work evenings and weekends
- Experience with ticketing software (i.e., Ticketmaster) preferred
- Box office experience preferred
- Familiarity with the sport of NASCAR is a plus
