The Tiffany & Co. Repair Services Representative accurately assesses repair orders to identify technical assignment based upon their understanding of individual technical expertise and anticipated labor time per repair, while balancing the client need by date. The RS Representative maximizes work flow and efficiency by capturing all relevant information in the system and escalating any anticipated servicing issues.
- Repair Services Representative should be able to identify volume, type of repairs and expected customer due date based upon repair request and technical needs while being alert of short date, late-moving orders in an organized manner. Repair Services Representatives will work with Management to manage issues & projects where applicable.
- Quality - Complete all processing work according to Tiffany quality and design standards; read, understand and follow written repair/processing instructions and seek clarification when needed; inspect all assigned orders for additional needs and escalate as appropriate.
- Productivity - Meet or exceed established productivity standards based on work mix and role. Organization - Maintain assigned orders in an organized fashion ensuring that due dates are adhered to; report any late or potentially late orders to administration or management. Maintain an organized workspace. Request any needed parts, consumable material, tools or supplies when asked by management or technical staff according to established procedures
Knowledge and development:
- Develop a working knowledge of Tiffany & Co. products including but not limited to designers, collections, materials, methods of manufacture.
- Proactively seek and apply new skills and techniques that result in quality, safety or productivity improvements.
- Proactively share skills and techniques with coworkers; actively collaborate with coworkers, administration and management in problem solving and process improvement. Service center support:
- Provide assistance as needed throughout the center; perform alternate as needed and as capable; assist administration with workflow management; participate in special projects.
Occupational health and safety:
- Comply with all health and safety requirements including personal protective equipment, hazardous material handling and disposal, machine guarding, ergonomics, etc.
- Maintain a safe workstation free from risks by complying with Tiffany's established safety policies and procedures. Immediately report any safety incidents, including "near misses", to management
- Contribute to the safe and efficient operation of the workshop; assist in cleaning and maintaining common areas and equipment; report any worn, broken, or unsafe tools, equipment and supplies; identify and report any gaps in workshop infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent with strong verbal and written communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
- 2 years' experience in an administrative business environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a technical environment
- Knowledge of Tiffany & Co. computer systems (i.e. Repair System, AS 400, etc.)
- Graduate Gemologist preferred
The hiring range for this position ranges from $22 - $30 per hour. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates’ relevant skills and experience.
