Full Job Description
Location: METROHEALTH MEDICAL CENTER
Biweekly Hours: 40.00
Shift: 8-4:30
The MetroHealth System is redefining health care by going beyond medical treatment to improve the foundations of community health and well-being: affordable housing, a cleaner environment, economic opportunity and access to fresh food, convenient transportation, legal help and other services. The system strives to become as good at preventing disease as it is at treating it. Founded in 1837, Cuyahoga County's safety-net health system operates four hospitals, four emergency departments and more than 20 health centers.
Summary:
Manages the Clinical and Translational Science Center (CTSC) related deliverables at MetroHealth and drafting quarterly and annual grant progress reports. Acts as primary programmatic support to the federally funded CTSC site at MetroHealth leading and achieving the CTSA goals by maintaining, coordinating, consulting on complex research projects. Navigates research opportunities with PIs and consult on logistics and proposal planning. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
Qualifications:
Required: Bachelor's degree in related field. In lieu of degree, any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, in addition to the experience stated below. 8 years of research experience in budget preparation and management. Proficiency with MS Office, primarily Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Demonstrated knowledge of grant budgeting, cost analysis, and personnel power planning. Ability to work with sensitive information while maintaining confidentiality. Knowledgeable of regulatory requirements in conducting research. Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Good organization and problem-solving skills. Good motivational skills. Excellent management skills. Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Preferred: Project management certificate. Experience working with CTSC projects and metrics. Knowledgeable of regulatory requirements in conducting research. Experience with Lawson, Peoplesoft, or RedCap and other data collection software. Strategic planning experience. Physical Demands: May need to move around intermittently during the day, including sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and ambulating. May need to remain still for extended periods, including sitting and standing. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to read job related documents. Ability to use computer. Ability to staff community events.
