- Has a commitment to working with low-income and immigrant families and pregnant women
- Has knowledge of community resources or how to access community and social services
- Interested in establishing a caring and supportive relationship with the persons we service
- Has basic knowledge - Is familiar with child development and/or social services delivery systems
- With mentorship will learn to manage a caseload of 5-6 families, prioritize, plan work activities, set goals and objectives, and use time effectively
- Has the ability to learn different computerized data systems to track all services to the families
Schedule: Part Time, 20 hours a week
- 12 Month Apprenticeship with the possibility to apply for a Home Visitor position after completion based on available vacancies.
- Monday through Friday 9:30am to 1:30pm OR 1:30pm to 5:30pm
- Wednesday scheduling need of 9:30am to 3:30pm OR 12:30pm to 5:30pm
Pay Rate:
- $20.96/hourly with High School
- $22.24/hourly with Associate’s Degree
- $23.14/hourly with Bachelor’s degree

Required Skills
- Proficient computer fluency, including Microsoft Office and data-based systems, required.
- Must be able to prioritize, plan work activities, and use time efficiently
- Valid Massachusetts driver’s license and regular access to a reliable vehicle preferred.
- Must receive background check clearance for Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI), Sex Offender Register Check (SORI), Finger Printing, and Department of Children and Families.
- Preference given to persons who speak: Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish, Haitian Creole, Arabic, or Southeast Asian language, as the community representation and positional needs require.
Required Experience
- Must have at minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
- Lived or work experience with low income and diverse young children and their families preferred.
- 2 years Early Childhood experience
