ARC is looking for a Production Support Engineer to join our team! In this position you are responsible for keeping ARC's systems up and running according to established service level agreements (SLAs). Resolving all common problems (systems and application) sent to Production Support from the Customer Call Center (CCC) and other departments by determination of the root cause, escalating moderate or critical problems to Senior Production Support Engineers and the product development team.



Responsibilities

  1. Implement and support automated and/or manual monitoring of production systems to ensure all applications and processes meet their SLA.

  2. Research and resolve any production issues escalated to the team via CRM cases or Service Now Incidents. This includes 24/7 support for Severity 1 issues.

  3. Provide research and data query requests needed by Customer Call Center and/or business staff.

  4. Document application information, disaster recovery information, and procedures in the team Wiki.

  5. Identify and implement process improvements.

  6. Provide support and validation of Production, UAT, and Production Support migrations, as well as for server and middleware patching.



Qualifications

  • Associate's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
  • Analytical problem-solving skills with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Minimum five (5) years' experience as an application programming developer utilizing current web-based technologies (Angular, HTML, JavaScript and Enterprise Java Beans)
  • Minimum five (5) years' experience with relational databases (Oracle, Teradata and Microsoft SQL Server)
  • Knowledge of a range of platforms, including Linux
  • Experience supporting production environments
  • Experience with TOAD, TeaLeaf
  • Experience on Web Proxy Servers (SunOne, Apache)
  • Experience with web messaging (SOAP)
  • Experience with Flex framework,
  • Experience with Spring, Hibernate and Tomcat
  • Proficient use of Monitoring Tools (e.g., TeaLeaf, Nimsoft)
  • Reporting tools (Jasper, COGNOS)
  • Sun Certified Java Programmer
  • IBM TSO/MQ/CA7 Scheduler
  • Mainframe Adabas/Natural
  • Mainframe Cobol/JCL
  • DataMotion/Secure Mail
  • Ab-Initio or other ETL tools
  • SharePoint / Confluence
