Role Overview
As a Principal UX Accessibility Specialist, you will help Fidelity Investments' centralized User Experience Design (UXD) organization to shape its UX accessibility strategy and practice for its customer-facing web, mobile, and hybrid experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Empower designers to design inclusively by providing training, tools, and support.
Champion a vision for scaling Accessibility and inclusive design practices within a large organization.
Support our enterprise design system for Web, iOS, and Android.
Collaborate with Accessibility teams from across the firm to develop a unified Accessibility support model.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Bachelor's degree with 5+ years' experience in Digital Accessibility or a related UX discipline (ex. Design, Research, Content Strategy, Instructional Design, Front-End Development) with a strong focus on Accessibility.
Expertise in making mobile, web, and hybrid applications accessible.
Fluency in inclusive design principles and UX design standards for web, iOS, and Android.
Experience supporting design system teams in making web, iOS, and Android libraries, assets, and design language accessible.
Expertise in using assistive technologies (JAWS, NVDA, Voiceover, TalkBack, Dragon Naturally Speaking) to evaluate digital experiences.
Deep empathy for and understanding of how people with disabilities use assistive technologies.
Ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams and provide UX accessibility feedback on the fly.
Strong ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives and adapt to their changing needs.
Knowledge of accessibility laws (ADA, Section 508, CVAA) and standards (WCAG, ARIA, UAAG).
Interpersonal skills to build trust and work with partners from across UX disciplines as well as other Accessibility teams across the firm.
Preferred Skills
Expertise with Figma so aevolve and maintain our Figma Accessibility Annotations toolkit.
UX development skills (SwiftUI, Jetpack Compose, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS).
IAAP CPACC and/or WAS certifications.
The Team
The Fidelity UX Accessibility Team is part of a large, centralized User Experience Design (UXD) organization that provides design services to Fidelity's Retail, Workplace, and Institutional businesses. As a member of the UX Accessibility and parent UXD team, you will help make Fidelity's products more accessible and usable for individual investors, business owners, administrators, and financial professionals. Whether it's integrating Accessibility into our design process, toolkits, systems, training, or consulting with teams, supporting an Accessibility champion's network, responding to client feedback, and partnering with other Accessibility teams to advance a firm-wide approach to Accessibility, this is a chance to make a big difference.

Fidelity's hybrid working model blends the best of both onsite and offsite work experiences. Having the majority of our associates work onsite is important for our business strategy and our culture.
