Full Job Description

Description

Become part of an inclusive organization with over 40,000 teammates, whose mission is to improve the health and well-being of the unique communities we serve.

The Emergency Department is a 52-bed unit, including a 4-bed Behavioral Health Unit. It features three triage rooms, an ambulatory area with a three-stretch bay located directly behind triage, a decontamination area, and a family consultation room. The department operates with 24-hour registration, laboratory services, diagnostic imaging, and CT radiology coverage, with specialized radiology services such as MRI, Ultrasound, and Nuclear Medicine available on-call after 5 PM. Additionally, a new EMS convalescent transport service is available Monday through Friday during the day to facilitate inpatient discharge and improve Emergency Department flow. The department is known for its efficient patient throughput, avoiding long hold times and ensuring a smooth transition to inpatient care. The team is highly collaborative, with frontline staff input regularly recognized and implemented to enhance patient care. Management is supportive of maintaining a healthy work-life balance for staff members. The Emergency Department serves a diverse patient population, providing care to individuals of all ages, sexes, races, and religions, regardless of financial status, and operates 24/7 to handle any type of emergency. The primary functions of the department include triage, assessment, stabilization, and treatment for all patients seeking or referred for care. The ED’s philosophy is simple: Come prepared to give your all during your shift, be kind, and always prioritize our patients—everything else will fall into place.
