Short Description
A Nuclear Medicine Staff Technologist will be responsible for the following:
* Acquisition and processing of all Nuclear Medicine exams. This will include general NM scans along with Nuclear Cardiology studies.
* Quality control of all Nuclear Medicine equipment.
* The safe handling of all diagnostic radiopharmaceuticals
* The safe handling of all therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals.
* Weekday, weekend and holiday call for after hour emergencies.
* Follows all NRC and NJDEP regulations regarding radiation safety
Experience Required
Completion of clinical training through NM training program or college requirements
Education Requirements
Graduate of an AMA approved program in Nuclear Medicine
License/Certification Requirements
Current BLS.
Current ARRT - American Registry Radiology Tech License or
Current CNMT - Certified Nuclear Medical Tech License.
Current NJ-NUCMED - NJ Nuclear Med Tech License
Special Requirements
Basic Life SupportM-F as needed and on call
