WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER

The North America (NA) Agriculture Agroforestry Contracts Coordinator is responsible for a variety of activities in support of the program's approved tactics. They ensure timely and accurate payments including but not limited to vendors, project partners, and farmers who have met contractual obligations to implement agroforestry practices. The Coordinator provides technical leadership and support to plan, direct, and implement effective processes for managing contracts and payments, and leads communication efforts related to their execution. They will schedule and coordinate virtual and in-person meetings with vendors, project partners, and/or producers as necessary to provide updates on process requirements. Duties may include assisting in the development of reports by collecting, assembling, and analyzing various types of programmatic data (both internal audiences and external project partners and funders). The Coordinator will handle inquiries about program activities and assist in the development of program materials and correspondence. They will work cooperatively with Conservancy staff, providing information necessary to make decisions and solve problems. They may communicate on behalf of their supervisor with internal and external sources including staff, donors, vendors, and businesses to coordinate arrangements, convey information, and ensure successful execution of the program.

Responsibilities & Scope:

  • Act independently within broad program goals to prioritize tasks in the absence of specific instructions and exercise independent judgment to identify and solve problems.
  • Demonstrate sensitivity in handling confidential information.
  • May be responsible for the work of peers on project teams; and gaining cooperation from partners and other TNC teams.
  • Ensure compliance with Conservancy policies and procedures, and external (donor/legal/IRS/USDA) requirements; decisions may bind the organization financially or legally.
  • Financial responsibility may include working within/managing a budget; processing invoices and transfers; and negotiating and contracting with vendors and other partners.
  • Manage projects with several variables - set realistic deadlines, manage a timeline, and ensure accountability.
  • Work is diversified and may not always fall under established practices and guidelines.
  • Work environment involves only infrequent exposure to disagreeable elements and minor physical exertion and/or strain.
  • Occasional domestic travel for multi-day retreats.
  • Working long/flexible hours as needed to coordinate with staff spread across the US.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience generating reports and analyzing and interpreting the data.
  • Experience managing and implementing multiple projects.
  • Experience with business process analysis and/or improvement.
  • Experience with current technology in relevant field.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.

SALARY INFORMATION

The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $60,000 - $80,000 for annual base salary. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidate's actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including, for example, the candidate's location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market, and not tied to USA pay or ranges. Your geographic location will be confirmed during the recruitment.
