Marketing Assistant
Position Overview
The Marketing Assistant/Coordinator I will support the marketing team in executing various marketing strategies and initiatives. This role focuses on coordinating marketing activities, analyzing data, and assisting in the preparation of presentations to drive brand awareness and customer engagement. This is a 7-month, 40 hours per week contract role. Eligible candidates must be able to be onsite 3 days per week in the New York office.
Key Responsibilities
- Collection and analysis of competitors in the market, internal data pulls of the brand.
- Assist with data collection for major meetings, global presentations, and business memos.
- Meet retailer requests of full size and sample goods for sample programs, magazine features, photoshoots, and meetings, while maintaining inventory of product closet for on-hand needs (Salesforce SHOP).
- Assist in maintaining third party storage vendor organization.
- Provide key marketing information needed for SKU code creation to ensure seamless code launch and product receipt for US market.
- Keep track of all brand POs and provide necessary information needed to ensure the PO process is seamless from creation to actualizing final costs.
- Partner with agencies to seed product for ratings and reviews before launch, relaying launch details, product images, copy, and official delivery of units.
- Relay sample images, weight, ingredient lists and initial shipments for all relevant retailer programs. Order samples via SHOP for programs.
- Ship product and formula in advance for retailer meetings, assemble in-office product bags for recipients, direct product collection and bring to meeting in New York Office.
- Ongoing competitive awareness and willingness to go in store to gather real-time insights and images for competitive analyses and presentations. Assist with in store preparation for major store walkthroughs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 6+ month of experience working in a marketing department or working with samples/inventory
- Marketing, Fragrance and Beauty experience a strong plus
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment
- Ability to thrive in fast-moving work environments and be present in New York Office
- Experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint
