Summary:

Vivint is on the cutting edge of advanced Smart Home technology, and as Components Manager you are responsible for leading and inspiring a highly talented team of Strategic Sourcing Managers. At Vivint, we are in the midst of our most exciting period of growth and your leadership is vital to the success of the operational excellence expected at Vivint.

As a manager of components, you will work closely with the Sourcing, Engineering, Product, and suppliers team to effectively communicate your vision, and the needs of the team back to the leadership. Your leadership is essential to the ongoing success of our Supply Chain objectives.

Primary Responsibilities

Lead and Develop the Sourcing Team:

  • Manage and mentor a team of Sourcing Managers, creating metrics and initiatives that contribute to the organizational goals. Foster a high-performance culture that encourages accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Deliver on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs); set goals, report out on metrics to senior leadership
  • Work side by side with team to assess employee effectiveness; provide coaching, feedback, and performance management to team members as needed
  • Onboard and exit employees where appropriate
  • Be an expert in and train team members with systems and processes
  • Represent company leadership in communicating goals and initiatives to your team as well as to potential candidates

Preferred Skills, Experience, & Education

  • 7+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain procurement
  • 3+ years of experience in managing sourcing or supply chain teams.
  • Proven track record of managing teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with performance management and employee development.
  • Proven leadership experience, including the capacity to predict and manage behavior, build and leverage cross-functional partnerships within the organization, and leverage influential leadership
  • Expert ability to communicate effectively with others using written and spoken English, including the ability to provide clear, constructive feedback to employees
  • Excellent communication, time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
