Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a highly qualified Aircraft Maintenance Manager for the flight test maintenance team on the Flying Test Bed program. This position will be located on-site at Mojave, CA. 
 
These positions will oversee the maintenance, servicing, repair and overhauling of multiple aircraft and aircraft systems.  The selected candidates will be responsible for ensuring that assigned aircraft are maintained and serviced in accordance with company policy and associated aircraft tech orders and maintenance schedules. Daily responsibilities include direct supervision of the staff, managing assignments, coordinating cost and schedule with Program leadership and budgets, and securing parts and materials as necessary.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Generate aircraft to support tests in accordance with requirements from test integration

• Forecast, plan, and complete required air vehicle maintenance and modifications

• Schedule shifts, teams and work packages

• Manage and track air vehicle configuration

• Assign daily work requirements to the team

• Ensure compliance with environmental, safety and quality processes

• Ensure accurate, complete, and current employee training records
 

The standard shift for this position is on the 4/10 schedule.  Shift adjustments may be required with advanced notification.
 
Basic Qualifications: 

• Must have a Bachelor Degree AND 9 years of relevant professional/military experience, OR a Master's degree and 7 years of relevant professional/military experience, OR 5 years related experience with a PhD

• Must have prior management / leadership experience

• Ability to work any shift as required by the business needs

• Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)

• Must have ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience in a developmental/operational test maintenance environment

• Experience in a US Air Force Combined Test Force

• Experience leading an aircraft operation under DCMA Instruction 8210 oversight

Salary Range: $129,300.00 - $193,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
