Summary

This position is located at Departmental Offices, Terrorism and Financial Intelligence - Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). As a Management and Program Analyst, you will assist colleagues in support of core Treasury Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) under the general supervision of the Assistant Director, Information Technology (AD/IT).

Duties

The following are the duties of this position at the GS-9. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.

As a Management and Program Analyst, you will:

  • Conduct analysis of software applications to provide recommendations for problem solving.
  • Write user help material (in blog / FAQ / online help / user guide formats) that support user needs.
  • Assist in plans for upgrades of the OFAC information systems, and participate in their testing.
  • Monitor data consistency and integrity through colleague developed data analysis.
  • Perform data maintenance responsibilities (including manual data cleanup) as required and recommend data improvements.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:For the GS-7 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-5 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:

  • Assisting with research in support of business processes; AND
  • Experience with Customer Service; AND
  • Creating and maintaining user guides/instructional materials; AND
  • Experience with basic database concepts (such as; querying data, formatting data).


OR EDUCATION: You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows:

-One full year of graduate level education in a related field; OR
-Superior Academic Achievement based on a bachelors degree that is demonstrated through:

  • Class standing (upper 1/3 of class); OR
  • Grade point average (3.0/4.0 overall or 3.5/4.0 in major); OR
  • Election to membership in a qualifying national scholastic honor society.

OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: You may qualify by a combination of experience and education. Options for qualifying based on a combination will be identified in the online questions.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:For the GS-5 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-4 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
  • Experience with Customer Service; AND
  • Creating and maintaining user guides/instructional materials; AND
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite tools.

OR EDUCATION: You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows:
  • Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree

OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: You may qualify by a combination of experience and education. Options for qualifying based on a combination will be identified in the online questions.
