Kimball Midwest, a national distributor of maintenance, repair, and operation products, is searching for a Maintenance Specialist for our Columbus, OH location.

Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on all warehouse equipment.
- Inspections of all fire extinguishers in accordance with the guidelines located in Human Resources or other safety equipment, as assigned.
- Perform minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs as they occur.
- Completes maintenance checklist daily.
- Ensures the cleanliness of all Company facilities, including restrooms.
- Assists in planning for changes in material handling systems and plant layout to accommodate sales growth and increased purchasing.
- May be required to drive personal or company vehicle to make pick up or delivery of materials.
Qualifications
- Past experience in general maintenance systems, preferably in the distribution industry or related field.
- Ability to concentrate and to communicate with management, co-workers, and supervisors.
- Ability to read and write small letters and numbers; the ability to make arithmetic calculations; and the ability to understand written and oral instructions.
- Ability to lift objects weighing fifty (50) pounds.

- Adaptable to varying environmental conditions (i.e. heat, humidity, dust, toxic and/or non-toxic chemicals
- This position requires a valid drivers license.
Additional Information
The hours are 2:30 - 11pm, Monday-Friday, after training period.
