National Grid is seeking experienced Lead Program Manager, Solar for All,for our New York market. This position can be located in Brooklyn NY, Melville NY, Waltham MA, Syracuse NY, or Hicksville NY.
This role is within the Customer Enablement Products team in the US Customer Organization. The Customer Enablement Products Team's mission is to provide tools, content and education to our customers to enable them to make smart choices about their energy consumption. We engage our low to moderate income communities through various energy efficiency and bill credit programs.
We empower customers to learn about their energy usage through channels such as our sustainability hub, energy efficiency marketplace, social media platforms, customer facing website and email communications. We listen to the feedback we receive from our customers, and then make continuous improvements to our various billing programs, payment and saving options/programs, social and web interactions as well as marketplace/shopping opportunities.These tools ensure our customers can easily do business with us, feel heard, valued and save money.
Job Purpose
The Program Manager, Solar for All, will lead the Administration of the current ESFA program and the currently in development of Statewide Solar for All and REACH programs for Low Income Electric Customers in NY. The program is designed to deliver community solar bill credits to nearly 150,000 low-income customers, making it the largest program of its kind in the country.

The Program Manager is responsible for delivering the intended programs benefits and assist with developing future phases of programs.
Key Accountabilities
- Supporting the enrollment of projects into the SSFA and REACH program
- Working with Billing, IT, Customer Energy Integration, and Customer Experience to stand up system improvements
- Enhance and develop new reporting where required
- Manage process and completion of low-income compliance reporting, including semi-annual and annual reports, internal/external data requests to support program cycle and internal reporting metricsTrack monthly credits and verify billing information related to program credit pool and Admin Fee
- Assist pricing and regulatory with the annual process for ESFA, SSFA and REACH discount recalculations and coordinating required communications
- Assist with Tariff filings where it relates to low income customers
- Calculating and tracking credit allocations to participating customers
- Develop, maintain, and communicate internal processes and procedures
- Provide analysis of program enrollments to ensure integrity of the program - review data in reports, document findings and make necessary program changes
- Tracking ongoing program costs
- Preparing the low-income income representatives to field questions about the program
- Preparing and distributing education materials about the program
- Answering questions about the program with internal and external stakeholders
- Reporting on the program to internal and external stakeholders
- Participate in analysis of PSC orders relating to Low Income Solar Programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in a relevant field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel (use of pivot tables), Word and PowerPoint
- Data analysis
- Extensive experience managing a program that includes technical, financial, and regulatory elements
- Insight into regulatory process and familiarity with the proceeding
- Knowledge of the clean energy industry, utility operations, low-income customer needs, and energy regulation is preferred

Downstate NY Salary: $125,000 - $147,000 a year
Upstate NY Salary: $104,00 - $122,000 a year
MA Salary: $116,000 - $137,000 a year
