Full Job Description
Volt is immediately hiring Lab Tech 1 with a well-known industry leader in Maplewood, MN. As a Lab Tech, you will play a crucial role in conducting various tests and experiments to ensure the quality and safety of consumer products.
This is a first shift position.
As a Lab Tech 1 you will:
- Performs chemical, biological, physical, and/or mechanical analyses and tests required for research, development, or quality control of processes and products.
- Prepare materials and organize for product testing.
- Assist in laboratory experiments through testing and evaluation of new materials and products based on research.
- Performs mechanical performance tests required for research, development, or quality control of processes and products.
- Conduct hands-on tests with multiple pieces of equipment.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in the Sciences (preferred)
- Ability to lift/carry 5-pound weights at high repetitions.
- Strong organizational skills, self -motivated and results driven.
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills, both written & oral
- Prior laboratory or manufacturing experience.
- Experience use in Excel and Word.
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
