Qualifications,
- Preferred construction project experience of 4 years or equivalent experience.
- Experienced in Leading Construction trades levels and ability to work within professional field teams
- Preferred Communication skills with Subcontractors and internal teams
Responsibilities.
- Manage and execute a project value of up to $80k depending on contract.
- General written and computer skills, with moderate understanding of excel, word, and some SAP.
- Understanding a Safety Activity Plan project specific with the capabilities to hold DFL accountable.
- Ability to follow a construction execution plan.
- Hold DFL craft accountable to a project specific Inspection and Testing Plan
- Working ability within a Professional staff associated within the project including but not limited to, Project Manager, Construction Manager, Construction superintendent, General Foreman, Project controls, Quality, Safety, field Eng., Project accounting and Materials management.
- Ability to understand an indirect staff and craft labor plan
- Participate or lead in site Construction meetings with CM/PM, Superintendent, Etc. and client
- Ability to perform project walk an inspections pre/post construction completion.
- Knowledge of how to assist in generating all or some data with an estimate to Assist Sups, CMs and PMs with C.O. requests on materials needed, manpower needs and durations for some Electric Heat Trace, Insulation, some Steam Tracing and Instrumentation Insulation requirements.
- Ability to understand and work to execute a 3 day look ahead plan and schedule
- Understanding how to hold DLF accountable of constructability plans to support construction execution.
- Some Knowledge of how to help Engineering on assigned project with specific install knowledge and best practices
- Assist with minimal recruiting for TIMCO employees
Local labor force I-9 verification
- Understand required completion documentation needed and how to complete associated forms for the project completion turn over to the client
- Capable of maintaining a construction punch list with all associated close out documents
- Hold project craft labor accountable to nVent QA/QC program on assigned project.
- Preform reviews on project craft labor; Journeyman’s and Apprentice levels on performance/accountability and safety.
- Ability to work with PMs and Project Controls lead to update some or all project budgets, on control process to measure project health,
PPA reports Schedules, Primavera and or excel FPD field entries SAP time entry / Tool entries Change management process Contract documents Daily / weekly reports Est. review Eng., ISO’s, P&ID’s, Field routed as built drawings
- Industry Product knowledge with ability to train on specialty applications around, Insulation applications with some Heat Trace applications.
- Promote project wide with lead by example, nVent Safety First Culture and “STOP WORK AUTHORITY” to all craft labor and Foreman levels.
- Lead in all aspects with holding all Craft labor accountable to nVent Safety requirements but not limited to i.e., Weekly safety reports, daily JSA’s, weekly safety meetings, first aid requirements, injury reports and near miss reports Etc.
- Be able to vet and hold accountable all new/existing employees’ efficiency’s (PF) including but not limited to, qualifications an application knowledge of perspective craft level they currently are established at.
- Evaluate all Craft levels new/existing employee’s safety culture to see if it aligns with company standards.
- Understanding most rules per OSHA training and guidelines.
- Industry application knowledge of Insulation installation practices, with understanding of some of nVent electrical applications but not limited to:
Heat Tracing. Steam Tracing capabilities. Installations of Insulation types and uses. Insulation and jacketing covering Heat Tracing. Underground Insulation and jacketing systems to meet frost line specifications. Understanding of Equipment Insulation applications. Knowledge of Tank Insulation applications. Understanding of Cryo Insulation applications. Understanding of Acoustic Insulation applications. Understanding of Personnel Protection Insulation applications. Understanding of Cold work insulation applications. Knowledge of Equipment heads insulation fabrication of any type. Knowledge of Insulation fabrication for piping appurtenances. Understanding of Trac Loc standing seam insulation installations. Knowledge of Hot service Insulation installations. Insulation systems over Steam Tracing. Metal jacketing .024,.016,.020 including heavy corrugated metal fabrication and applications. Understanding of Insulation support systems for heavy Insulation and/or oversized Insulation systems. Knowledge of Insulation blanket requirements for heat trace applications and other applications. Insulation sealing requirements with caulking applications and uses. Insulation storage requirements.
- Generate all field material requisitions and delivery schedules required for the project, including going to material vender to pick up in will call.
- Identifying Material Management requirements for the project but not limited to; Laydown areas, material movers, equipment to support material movement efforts Etc.
- Knowledge and capability’s to interpretate customer material and installation specifications, Insulation services i.e., Hot, cold, Personnel Protection, Heat conservation, acoustical, equipment requirements and Instrumentation. In addition, ability to hold accountable and cascade to all field Craft labor to make sure the project is following the correct spec for the project. (Note: this always tends to end in a change order to the client).
- Provide Craft labor training on reading nVent Heat Trace Isos, in addition, nVent/Raychem installation practices but not limited to Insulation requirements; Pumps, INST, equipment, piping of all sizes, Multipass applications, High temp applications (MI), Heat Trace Buffered applications, understanding the Insulation special requirements typically located in the notes. Proper metal fabrication around ET and power and end termination kits.
- Understand how to read P&IDs for flow paths and line temps and provide guidance in the event a designed Insulation application will not work for the Engineered drawing provided.
- Provide Craft labor training on all Insulation/metal fabrication requirements per Installations listed above and or project specific applications.
- Ability recognize and stop installation if Insulation requires a reduction from Engineered required thickness due to interferences.
- Ability to step in and oversee the electrical portion of the project in the event the electrical foreman is off site.
- Capable of managing scaffold needs and requests for the project.
- Knowledge on how to generate and draw 3D as builds for engineering.
- Ability to perform small project set ups and mobilizations, with equipment rentals and demobilization.
- Ability to follow Lock out tag out requirements and provide training to Craft labor.
- Able to execute all confined space work and provide craft training.
- Capable of getting all required permits necessary for the project but not limited to, Cold work, Hot work, confined space Etc.
- Provide and assist in all required equipment training to use on a project site but not limited to; Manlift Forklift Etc.
- All other duties as assigned
