Job Description:
Apex Systems is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Scientist to join our biotechnology client in the Greater St. Louis Area. The Scientist will be responsible for maintaining and documenting regulatory/GLP requirements and collaborating with the production team to ensure processes are followed. This role involves reporting results and data clearly and concisely to management, supporting company goals and objectives, adhering to Policies & Procedures, Quality System, and FDA Regulations.
Formulation Scientist
Location: St. Louis, MO
Type: Contract of 6-8 months, able to start immediately
Schedule: M-F normal business hours, 8:00am to 5:00pm CT
Compensation: $25-30/hr with overtime consideration and benefits that include health, dental, vision, and 401k in addition to weekly pay.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure production compliance with regulatory/GLP requirements and maintain required documentation.
- Collaborate with management to ensure detailed experimental procedures and reports meet applicable regulatory needs.
- Work with the team to ensure assay performance aligns with customer needs.
- Demonstrate passion for problem-solving and innovative thinking.
- Provide strong technical expertise in qPCR assay design and optimization.
- Preferably, have experience in clinical product development under Design Control.
- Exhibit strong written, oral communication, and presentation skills.
- Be highly collaborative, enjoy working in a diverse team, and contribute to a positive work environment.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree or higher in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of proven experience in academic or industry settings.
