Senior Manager, FinOps Investment Reconciliation and Self-Directed Brokerage

Role

The Senior Manager oversees a staff of associates performing DC (Defined Contribution) functions related to Mutual Fund Share Reconciliation and Self-Directed Brokerage Reconciliation. This role ensures all transactions and reconciliations within the group are identified, distributed, and resolved within a timely manner. In addition, this role oversees broad, firm wide initiatives with operational and technology business partners, performs analysis associated with business trends, resolves audit issues, and is responsible for key SOC1 controls.

The Expertise and Skills We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in financial services industry

  • Proven Leadership Skills

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Prior people management experience preferred.

  • Prior experience of driving process automation and innovation

  • Your ability to foster a highly interactive and engaged work environment.

  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Your ability to provide feedback to associates during individual coaching session to improve their quality, productivity, and skillset.

  • Commitment to drive quality and process improvements in a fast paced and high-risk business environment.

  • Your expertise and willingness in developing our associates to full potential and driving career growth.

  • Accountable for key talent management, including hiring, goal setting, performance reviews and other career development activities for the team.

  • Evaluates team effectiveness and proposes appropriately ambitious, yet realistic strategies for improvement, initiative, and achievement of results.

  • Demonstrates a strong sense of ownership and commitment to achieving substantial short- and long-term results.

  • Actively collaborates with people in other parts of the organization to solve problems, access resources, and accomplish important goals. Organizations include outside mutual fund companies; external trustees, internal WI Operations & Client Management groups, WI Systems.

  • Implements initiatives such as: Implementation of new technology solutions, etc., in order to meet SLAs and improve the customer experience; lead initiatives to resolve gaps and optimize the customer experience.

  • Routinely leads the resolution of major organizational issues that span multiple departments throughout Fidelity, as well as impacting clients. Clearly weigh costs and benefits to make appropriate tradeoffs when making decisions.

Fidelity's working model blends the best of working offsite with maximizing time together in person to meet associate and business needs. Currently, most hybrid roles require associates to work onsite all business days of one assigned week per four-week period (beginning in September 2024, the requirement will be two full assigned weeks).
