About the role
We are looking for an employee that can perform basic maintenance as requested by work orders, maintain all company vehicles, and work with Facilities Services Coordinator II as a backup for maintenance on all PE facilities HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical or carpentry applications.
Supervision Received: Reports to Facility Services Manager.
Supervision Exercised: None.
Typical Physical Demands: Work requires lifting and moving of heavy items, exposure to heights, crawl spaces, electrical wiring, and plumbing.
Typical Working Conditions:
Normal office environment with some exposure to adverse weather conditions or before and after normal operating hours. Travel between Physicians East facilities using a company or personal vehicle is required.
Responsibilities
Assists the Facility Services Coordinator II
Completion of work orders requesting assistance as needed.
Maintains company vehicles.
Assists in the relocation or setup of offices and furniture.
Takes after hours call for maintenance issues and Fire Systems
Maintain valid North Carolina Driver's License and clean driving record.
Location & commitments
Full time position, 40 hours per week with varying shifts primarily between 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday.
Overtime may be required to ensure patients are taken care of, tasks are completed, and calls are returned in a timely manner.
Weekend work is rare but can occasionally be necessary. Required call every other week and weekend with daily stipend.
Candidate requirements
Valid North Carolina Driver's License and clean driving record required.
Knowledge in general maintenance in the areas of basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, HVAC, electrical, minor repairs such as replacing light bulbs, filters, and maintaining company vehicles.
Comprehend and comply with all HIPPA, OHSA, and other local, state, and federal guidelines pertaining to the operations of medical facilities.
