Grand Hyatt Indian Wells Resort and Villas
An Engineering Supervisor will be responsible for shift coverage and therefore must possess strong trouble-shooting skills in all areas of maintenance in guest rooms, meeting space, and front of the house areas, as well as back of house areas including kitchen, laundry, electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems, using a windows based computer system. Ability to read blue prints and schematics is also required. A minimum of 5-years building maintenance experience is required, with hotel experience preferred. A strong working knowledge of all major building systems, including life-safety systems, is required for this position. Good communication skills are necessary. Additionally, this position requires strong leadership skills, and a willingness to work different shifts as the demands of business dictates.
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00 hourly. This is the pay rate for this position that Grand Hyatt Indian Wells reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.

Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Supervisory experience required.
- Current Certification as required by Federal State or Local governing agents pertaining to trade requirements i.e. HVAC pool operation electrical.
- Current certification and licensing to operate and repair boilers, chillers, cooling towers, plumbing, and electrical as required by state city and local legislation.
- Must have a valid driver's license for the applicable state.
- Must be able to convey all information and ideas clearly.
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
- Must work well in stressful high pressure situations.
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
- Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems as necessary.
- Must have the ability to assimilate complex information data etc. from disparate sources and consider adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need.
