Software Engineer
San Antonio, TX or Columbia, MD

MUST:
Experienced Software Engineer
5+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Modern Java Frameworks and Libraries (e.g. Spring, Guava)
Experience in designing enterprise APIs required
Experience in RESTful web services required
Experience in Microservices architecture required
Experience in Object Oriented Programming (OOP) paradigms required
Experience with the agile software lifecycle required
Experience with the Linux operating system required
Experience with configuration management tools (e.g. Git, Nexus, Maven) required
Experience in cloud based technologies (AWS, Azure) preferred
Understanding of AGILE software development methodologies and use of standard software development tool suites. (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Github Enterprise, etc.)
Experience in distributed databases, NoSQL databases, full text-search engines (e.g. Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Solr) preferred
Scripting experience is preferred
Has a proven ability to learn quickly and works well both independently as well as in a team setting
Active Security+ or ability to obtain within the first 60 days
DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certifications may be required in this position as directed by the customer
Bachelor's degree in technical discipline (i.e. computer science, engineering, mathematics, etc.). Educational requirements may be adjusted for applicable work experience

DUTIES:
Design, develop and implement complicated and difficult software capabilities for computer based systems
Troubleshooting and testing
Work as part of a team to meet deadlines
