Compensation: This position falls under the City of Denver Prevailing Wage Law. The base rate is $33.36/hr, however other rates may apply depending on job assignment within the scope of the job description.
General Summary:
Coordinate event service needs of clients. Coordinate maintenance projects with shift Engineers. Provide technical and physical support for shift Engineers. Spot check PM's to ensure proper adherence to industry standards. Perform all building operator regular duties when needed, including for coverage of paid time off. Maintain shop supplies and cleanliness.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the maintenance and repair of mechanical, plumbing, HVAC equipment and apparatus, and facility finishes in the facilities.
Support the condition of HVAC and mechanical infrastructure in accordance with safety/code requirements.
Support the HVAC and energy management computer systems of the facilities.
Provide client utility services including, compressed air, water, and drains.
Perform spot check regularly on PMs to ensure bldg. equipment is being serviced correctly.
Assist in resolving normal technical field problems.
Report inventory of all engineering equipment and supplies.
Make recommendations to Chief Building Engineer with regard to equipment and materials needed and implement approved purchases.
Oversee and assist with safety in the workplace.
Complete and assist in reviewing JHA/JSA for all departmental tasks.
Fill in as Engineer during scheduled PTO.
Lead in maintaining a safe working environment.
Perform and audit normal maintenance shift PM's on equipment identifying deficiencies and coming up with updated processes.
Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
Minimum High School Diploma or GED, some college coursework preferred
Two to four years' experience in a facility engineer position
Skills and Abilities:

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
Possess and maintain a valid and applicable license as a Stationary Engineer
Possess and maintain a valid universal CFC license
Valid Class C Colorado Driver's License
